The soul of the 3ème Cercle · Our story

It all comes down to harmony

The 3ème Cercle was born of a simple, slightly mad idea: bringing together under one roof things that rarely meet — the art you look at, the food you make with your own hands, and the people you gather around a table. A gallery. A chef's kitchen. And, in the middle, the pleasure of creating together. Here is how it happened.

The 3ème Cercle

The name · a nod to Dante

Why « 3ème Cercle »?

In Dante's Divine Comedy, Hell descends in circles. And the third is the circle of the gluttons — those who loved the table a little too much.

We found that magnificent. Where Dante saw a sin, we see a celebration: gourmandise as a pleasure you own, celebrate, and elevate. Loving food, loving to host, loving that moment when everything is shared — that is not a sin. It is what binds us together.

The 3ème Cercle is that circle. Ours. The one where the pleasure of the table is claimed as an art in its own right.

It is also a reference to the « Cercles » of the 19th century — very cosy yet very select private clubs, reserved for high society.

The first circle is family and friends. The second circle, friends of friends. The third circle embraces the whole world. Yannick Leclerc wanted it that way: open, hospitable, alive.

The vision · three worlds under one roof

A gallery, a kitchen, and all the people around them

The founding idea fits into three circles that touch.

Art

Real works, contemporary artists, exhibitions that keep changing.

Cooking

A real professional kitchen. You don't watch someone cook for you: you cook, for real.

Togetherness

Because none of it makes sense alone: around a table, tasting what you've made together.

Art opens the eye, cooking sparks sharing.Yannick Leclerc, in Le Point

Here, cooking is the pretext, team play is the engine, and art is the filter that turns a simple workshop into an experience. The only place in Paris where these three worlds truly live under the same roof.

The manifesto

What we truly stand for

We live in a world that moves fast, that is lived through a screen, where an image can be born without a single hand having made it. We chose the opposite.

Here, everything is real. The works are painted by artists who exist, and whom we put in the spotlight, because we believe a living artist is worth all the filters in the world. The dishes are made by your hands, not ordered in. People meet eye to eye, not behind a username.

This is not a pose. It is our simplest conviction: the handmade is a luxury, the present moment is a gift, and truly being together has become, in this day and age, the most precious thing there is.

You leave here with a memory, not a file.

By whom · the founding chef

Yannick Leclerc, the man behind the house

The 3ème Cercle was born of one man: Yannick Leclerc, 35 years in the kitchen, trained in the finest Michelin-starred houses (Le Taillevent, Lucas Carton, the Saint James, La Maison Blanche), then trainer of the chefs of the École Ducasse. A chef who can cook at the very highest level, and who loves, above all, to share.

He is the one who wanted this place, in 2022, to do what he loves most: hosting, passing it on, and sitting down at the table with his guests. He doesn't cook for you: he cooks with you. That is his signature — and that of the brigade he has trained.
